Key hole upside-down? Let’s switch it up. Difficulty 1/5. Time: <5 minutes.
With new doors comes new handles. Unfortunately they aren’t always facing the correct direction. Upon searching for a remedy I could NOT find a simple, easy-to-understand video or guide on this seemingly straight forward task.

Yes, you can flip the handle the other direction, but that doesn’t solve the issue of the key hole being upside-down.
This is easiest before you install the door handle, but it is do-able by removing the lock-side if you’re doing it on an already-installed handle.
First, you have to remove the ‘lever’ part of the handle, it’s an internally-captured hex bolt inside the little pin hole on the side of your handle. If it’s brand new it should have come with the hex key, if not, yikes good luck. I don’t know the size.

Loosen that tiny bolt and the handle will slide off.
Next, there is a small U-shaped clip holding the key tumbler/barrel in place. Just pop that off (DON’T LOSE IT!) with a small flat head screwdriver.

Then just simply and gently pull the barrel out, flip it 180 degrees, and slide it back in.

Blurry pics since it is so quick.
That’s IT! Now your keyed hole is in the proper orientation!

Install that knob/handle and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Congratulations! Another DIY down.
